What is universal property and
why do we need it?

Universal property is a universal birthright to an equal share of co-inherited wealth, along with a duty to preserve that wealth for future generations. It is a complement to private property, not a replacement. Its purpose is to represent in real-time markets the interests of future generations, nature and all living persons jointly.

We need universal property because markets today are grievously out of balance. They consistently over-reward a small minority of property owners at the expense of the majority of humans and nature. Universal property would correct that imbalance and transform the way markets behave.

What universal property would do:
- Fix tragic market flaws
- Protect nature and future generations
- Enhance economic security
- Boost social solidarity

Universal property belongs to us not because we work for it, but because we co-inherit it. There is no shame in that.
